About

Hello, this is Sophie. I've lived in several countries across three continents, and currently I'm based in Paris. Thanks for stopping by - it's so lovely to meet you. Welcome to explore my little universe of photography, apps, music, puzzles, and more.

I've been working full-time as a software engineer since 2018 - it's been a fun and fulfilling journey collaborating with brilliant minds. In 2016, I returned to the piano after a ~15-year break from the bits of childhood training I had. I quickly fell in love and knew that music would stay close to my heart for life - something deeply personal and endlessly nourishing to my spirit. Then, in December 2017, I gifted myself a digital camera as a graduation present - after realizing how much I enjoyed capturing the world around me with just my phone. That's how my photography journey began.

But to me, labels are just social constructs- abstractions we agree on, but none of them truly define me. Developer, photographer, pianist… deep down, I'm simply a human being, looking at the world with a deep sense of wonder, appreciation, and curiosity.

I want to share the beauty I see and hear, the stories and paths I've walked, and the passion and creativity that live inside me. I'm a traveler - an adventurer in life - collecting little gems along the way.

After all, life is full of gems, quietly sparkling like the Milky Way hanging above us, eternally there, yet hidden from plain sight until that one clear night, deep in the woods, and far from the city lights - when you finally, truly see them.

And once you've seen the Milky Way, how can you ever unsee that beauty and magnificence?

I have seen the universe both in its silence and its music.
"I had a sense of infinite veneration, infinite pity."
Perhaps all effort is futile — but what of it?

Each shell I gathered by the sea,
Each flower I've met,
Each star that winked at me,
Each chord echoed and resonated,
Each breath and heartbeat shared,
Each sunset dancing into the night —
Each one a tiny Aleph,
Each one the world,
Each one enough.

"The struggle itself toward the heights is enough.
One must imagine Sisyphus happy."
